The Mairionis Lithuanian School has been teaching the Lithuanian Community in the New York City area for over 50 years. The school currently has over 70 students. The school teaches children starting in pre-kindergarden (with parent participation) through the ninth grade, and has two adult level classes.

In addition to learning the Lithuanian language, students are taught Lithuania's history, folklore, and traditions including traditional dances, songs and stories.
